Feed Notes

Map of Mercer County, Pa.

Sharpsville FD along with South Pymatuning FD can only be heard while being dispatched by the 911 Center then they switch over to the NEXEDGE system as well.

The Main Shenango Valley FD Dispatch has also gone the NEXEDGE route also.

This feed is a 2 scanner feed also known as a Stereo Feed. However as of 12/21/2014 you will find that only one side is now working with the FD and EMS. There are no longer any Police Agencies to monitor in this county. I will be changing this feed around in the near future. One side will be the Med Frquencies and EMS and the other side will be The FD, at least until the whole county changes over to a NEXEDGE system too.

This is a split stereo feed which means that there are two scanners in use - one scanner using your left speaker and one scanner using your right speaker....   If you choose to listen using a media player such as WINAMP or other device that has speaker balance control, you can simply adjust the left-right balance control on your player/device and listen only to the side  you prefer. HOWEVER,  if you are using the radio reference web player,  there is no balance control thus you are forced to listen to both scanners unless of course you are using a computer and go to the computer's audio properties and then adjust the balance there to suit your desired listening; something you may want to consider during periods of  heavy radio traffic.
