Introducing our comprehensive scanner feed that keeps you connected to crucial emergency services in the region:
Located at the heart of Chilliwack City, our scanner feed ensures optimal coverage and access to real-time updates from the mentioned fire departments and services.
To deliver top-notch service, we rely on advanced technology. The feed is served by an SDRTruck, expertly connected to a PowerEdge T140 with a high-speed gigabit Fibre connection. The antenna setup consists of 2x Tram 1411 antennas, providing exceptional signal reception for seamless communication.
We understand the importance of uninterrupted service during power outages. That's why our feed hardware is equipped with approximately 72 hours of UPS backup, ensuring continuous operation during short-term power failures. For extended power outages, we have a reliable GOAL ZERO LITHIUM YETI 1500X PORTABLE POWER STATION, powered by solar energy. This setup ensures that the system remains operational until the backup batteries in the ISP network, beyond our control, deplete.
For added convenience, you now have the option to listen to dispatches in real-time through the Zello app. This feature allows you to stay informed and even replay previous dispatches if you happen to miss any critical information. Access the link below to join the Zello channel. In addition to Zello, we have created a Discord community that you are more than welcome to join. We are actively developing a bot that will enable you to listen to the scanner feed in real-time through the Discord channel, offering an enhanced experience with real-time dispatches. This platform is also the perfect place to report any issues with the feed or suggest additions.
Both the Discord and the Zello are undergoing maintance untill 1/12/2024

It's important to note that different emergency services may use different frequencies and communication protocols to prevent cross-talk or interference between agencies. Dispatch frequencies are often public information, allowing citizens and emergency responders alike to monitor ongoing incidents and stay informed about their community's safety. However, it's crucial to respect the laws and regulations surrounding the use of radio scanners and frequencies to ensure that these communications remain secure and reliable for the emergency services that depend on them.
