Feed Notes
Live radio feed of railroad operations on the BNSF Chicago Sub, as heard from Chicago, IL. The Chicago, Cicero, and Downers Grove radio towers are regularly within range. The dispatcher can be heard talking to trains as far west as Route 59 (west of Naperville), and locomotive radio traffic in the immediate Chicago vicinity (including at the 14th Street Coach Yard) can be heard. During rare periods of very favorable weather conditions (mostly in the evening/overnight/early morning hours in spring/summer/fall), dispatcher transmissions on the BNSF Mendota Sub can sometimes be received, though this is the exception and absolutely not the norm. Radio is a Motorola CM200 paired with a TrainTenna railroad antenna.
