Live stream of CPKC, CN, and BNSF mainline railroad operations in and around Chicago, IL. This feed was recently (late June 2025) upgraded to a Kenwood TK-7180 radio, which brings significantly improved reception and range. With many more options available now, we are experimenting to find the right mix of frequencies to monitor.

161.100 MHz – BNSF Chicago Sub (Union Avenue Dispatcher / East End Dispatcher).
161.190 MHz – CN Chicago and Joliet Subs (RTC Desk 1).
161.295 MHz – CN Waukesha Sub (RTC Desk 15).
161.475 MHz –CN Leithton Sub (RTC Desk 11).
161.520 MHz – CPKC Elgin Sub (CPKC Elgin Dispatcher / Tower B-17).

Equipment: Kenwood TK-7180 paired with a TrainTenna Blade indoor antenna, located on the top floor of a 5-story building on the north side of Chicago. Broadcast uses Audio Hijack for Mac.
