  NOAA WEATHER ALERT

▪ NWS - MILWAUKEE
  The weather Emergency Alert System (EAS) repeater operates courtesy of
  the National Weather Service Milwaukee, a division of NOAA, which
  broadcasts as KEC60 on 162.400 MHz. "NWS" covers 11 counties within the
  Southeastern Wisconsin region 24/7 - 365. The alert is retransmitted
  through an on-site VHF 5 watt repeater. The emergency alert is set as
  priority but remains in standby mode until activated by "NWS" for the
  issuance of weather watches or warnings. A weekly test is also conducted
  by "NWS" on Wednesdays around noon (CDT).

  Depending on terrain, atmospheric conditions and transmitter strength,
  the feed generally receives various dispatcher / RTC towers, base
  stations, wayside and mobile units within 0 to 50 miles of Butler, WI,
  USA.

  monitoring 15 Southeast Wisconsin regional AAR road channels, in tandem

  Feed operates 24/7 - 365 through a dedicated Hewlett Packard broadband
  server with a ScannerCast program feeding to Broadcastify. Radio feed is
  located in Butler, Wisconsin USA (Central Daylight Time Zone).

  All radio traffic is recorded in condensed 30 minute segments 24/7 - 365
  through Broadcastify's database and is retrievable through Feed Archives
