New Marine Coverage
Additional programming includes local boating and marine activity. You will hear openings/closings of the New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge and the Cape Cod Railway Bridge on the canal.
You will also be able to hear larger vessels, oil barges, cruise ships, container ships and more checking in with Cape Cod Canal Control to register their transits.
US Coast Guard and Harbor Patrols rescue operations occur in Buzzards Bay and local harbors mostly during the summer months..
You may hear routine communications between the numerous boatyards and other private and commercial vessels, including the New Bedford fishing fleet. (warning: may contain explicit language)
TowBoat US is a commercial marine tow operator operating in Massachusetts waters. You will often hear them responding to calls for help from fellow mariners.
