Feed Notes

Adams County Fire Dispatch: 46.18 Adams County Fire 3: 46.26 Adams County Fire 4: 46.32 Adams County Fire 5 (Fire Police): 46.30.  Fire 2 is rarely used and not included in feed due to interference from Perry County fire dispatch.Scanner is located in Littlestown, south-east corner of county.

Adams County Fire & EMS personnel: Turn your Android phone into a tone alert voice pager!  If you get the CAD text message dispatches, I recommend CadPage and Scanner Radio apps, both available on Google Play. Once both are installed, go into Cadpage settings then Location Settings.  Choose Adams County, PA then scroll down to "Auto Open Scanner Channel" to enable.  This feed should then be available. (If you are in upper Adams, you may prefer the 'Fire and EMS' feed although it has several other channels.)  The result will be the text message automatically starting the audio feed so you can hear the dispatch.  It isn't perfect and sometimes either the SMS or streaming audio lag will cause timing to be off; but it's a great back up to a Minitor or to keep track of things at home while out of radio range.  Try it out! (Disclaimer, I have no vested interest in either app but I do use them myself.)

For those not familiar with Adams County:  Channels are NOT repeated so vehicle transmissions may be intermittent.  EMS units are dispatched on Fire Dispatch, but utilize Med Channels for patient information.  Med Channels are NOT included in feed. Fire companies are typically dispatched using 8 second "1+1" group tones (solid tone). Standard 1+1 tones (two-tone sequential) used for ambulances, fire police, and officers, etc. "Railroad" tones (4 tone sequential) activate house sirens.

On Air 30NOV2010. Scanner is now a GRE PSR-600 with a rooftop mounted Larsen BSA-45C antenna.
