VHF Tone out for Pointe Coupee Fire Districts 2,3, and 5. Pointe Coupee Fire Operation for all districts on LWIN (P25 Phase 1) talk groups include Fire Disp 1, Fire Disp 2, District 5 Fireground, and Parish Officers.
Fire districts in Pointe Coupee Parish are toned out on VHF (154.250) from 3 repeater locations (different CTCSS tones). District 1 is dispatched from the North location, Districts 2, 3, and 5 are dispatched from the Central location at the EOC, and District 4 is dispatched from the South location. Once toned out, operations are on the LWIN P25 system. Units go in service and communicate on Fire Disp 1 unless multiple incidents, usually one being major, one of the districts will move to Fire Disp 2. Future use of District 5 Fireground is that all District 5 Operations will be on this talk group. District 5 has the largest call volume in the parish at this time, and the future primary use of District 5 Fireground will help with all other Districts ops by freeing up the talk groups. District 4 is planning something similiar. Equipment for District 5 Fireground upgrade has been purchased and is in the process of being programmed and integrated into the recorders and consoles at dispatch. Provided by 501.
