Being broadcasted is Agawam Fire/EMS Channel 1, Main Dispatch Operations and simulcasts locally on 151.055MHz with a PL tone of 100.0. Agawam is located in Western Massachusetts, directly west of the City of Springfield and borders the adjacent communities of West Springfield, Westfield, Southwick, and also borders the town of Suffield, CT. The Agawam Fire Department runs two districts 24/7 staffing two engines (E1/E2), two ambulances ("rescues" 1/2), a truck company (T1), a medium-duty rescue (Squad-5) and cross-staffs a third ambulance (R3). It is supplemented by a call force headed by the AFD Training and Safety Officer. The call force staffs a second-line engine (E3) and the station when career members are occupied responding to other incidents.
