Douglas County SkyWarn Net

A broadcast of amateur radio frequencies 146.940, 147.360, 145.450, and 147.390. These frequencies cover SkyWarn Nets of the Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) in Douglas County, Nebraska and surrounding Counties. Storm Spotters use these frequencies for reporting severe weather to Net Control in Douglas County. Net Control then relays the emergency information to the National Weather Service at Valley, Nebraska and to Douglas County Emergency Managment at Omaha Nebraska. By broadcasting and sharing these frequencies; citizens, businesses and agencies can monitor local storm spotter activities and reports. When frequencies are not in use for SkyWarn activations and deployments, the frequencies are available for general amateur radio use.
