This feed is monitoring the repeated Dispatch Operations for:
Northwest Fire District, Golder Ranch Fire District, Avra Valley Fire District, Picture Rocks Fire and Medical District, and Three Points Fire District.
It also monitors simplex fire ground operations for Northwest Fire District, southern areas of Golder Ranch Fire District, Avra Valley Fire District, Picture Rocks Fire and Medical District, and Three Points Fire District.
Northwest Fire/Rescue, Golder Ranch Fire, and Mountain Vista Fire have deployed dual-band (VHF and PCWIN) radios and are use both VHF and PCWIN. VHF analog frequencies are used for fireground, and PCWIN talkgroups for EMS calls. Dispatches will be patched and heard on VHF analog and PCWIN talkgroups. Fireground traffic will be primarily on VHF A1 or A6 (also sometimes called F1 and F6, respectively), but those frequencies will be patched to PCWIN TAC talkgroup when a working fire or other major incident is active. This is all very similar to how most of the Phoenix valley fire departments currently operate. Avra Valley, Picture Rocks and Three Points fire departments, on the other hand, plan to remain 100% VHF analog for now because they cannot afford PCWIN radios (PCWIN officials currently only allow agencies to use extremely expensive Motorola-brand radios, rather than much cheaper but equally-effective competitor brands). Avra Valley, Picture Rocks and Three Points fire departments EMS responses are on A3 EMS1 VHF simulcast repeaters, while Northwest, Golder Ranch and Mountain Vista EMS responses are on B4 EMS2 digital trunked talkgroup on PCWIN system. See the Northwest Fire category on the PCWIN trunked system database page for details on trunked digital talkgroups in use.
