This feed is of the 145.170 MHz Wide-Area repeater in Denton County, TX located on the Denton County EOC tower. This repeater is currently configured for Wide-Band Operation but, in the coming months will be converted to a Narrow-Band repeater. We invite you to monitor this repeater during severe weather as it is the alternate site to our 146.920 MHz repeater found on an alternative feed. This repeater is transmitting at 100W using a Motorola MSF-5000 to a Comet GP95 fed with 1 1/4" Heliax at an elevation of 400 feet above ground. Repeater provides a fairly even coverage pattern across Denton County and parts of Wise, Cooke, and Tarrant Counties in North Central Texas. Morning and evening commuters often use this repeater to discuss traffic, upcoming events, and other hobbies that they enjoy. This repeater is also often used for special events including Amateur Radio Emergency Service, Skywarn, and other special event nets.
