Feed Notes
TheUtica Shelby Emergency Communications Association (USECA) repeater is located in the city of Utica (Macomb County), Michigan,USA. The repeater and club callsign is K8UO. The transmit frequency of the repeater is 147.180 MHz, and does require a 100 Hz PL for access. The USECA repeater is fortunate to have a separate receive site in Detroit, Michigan. For this reason, the repeater footprint covers almost all of the Metropolitan Detroit area, as far as Ypsilanti, Oxford, Canton, Wixom, and Commerce Township.
In case of failure of our main repeater, a backup repeater is available and can be manually activated telephonically. The coverage of this backup is somewhat less than the main system.
Currently, the feed is provided by aMotorola HT1000and a Dell Inspirion 8000, 700 MHz laptop.
