This feed is for the Arkansas Wireless Information Network (AWIN) P25 Digital unencrypted talkgroups for Columbia and Lafayette counties. Arkansas State Police Troop G will also be selectively monitored.
AWIN is the statewide P25 digital standard system that has multi-links to to the Arkansas State Police and Arkansas Department of Emergency Management.
AWIN provides a means of communication for public safety agencies by enhancing the Arkansas State Police network. It brings Project 25 standards at the Command and Control structure to the first responder level. The purpose of the project is to build a fully interoperable Project 25 Standard radio system. This project provides additional equipment needed where identified.
AWIN is not designed to replace normal, in-place systems, but is a supplement to the existing system and to be used for interoperability among agencies.
