155.23500 - Greenville County Fire Dispatch
Any low volume specifically on this channel only is an issue with the dispatch center. When this is the case, tones and fire department traffic are at reasonable levels while the dispatcher sounds very far away.
Depending upon the department and the weather, hearing fire department traffic will be limited. Specifically, due to the location of the scanning equipment, only Travelers Rest, Duncan Chapel, and Slater-Marietta Fire Departments are heard regularly (and even then, not always based on their broadcast location).
