Feed Notes

Scanner is a Uniden 996T feeding audio to an Inovonics 222 broadcast processor which limits audio peaks for more even levels between different channels.

Server is a dedicated Dell laptop with external cooling to facilitate 24 / 7 operation.

Scanner and support equipment are UPS backed for reliability during short term power outages.

NOTE...Some transmissions on digital systems will be broken at times. This is a common problem with receiving these systems on scanner radios and occurrs on simulcast systems. This is largely beyond my control, although I have done what I can to reduce this problem. You can also notice this effect on simulcast analog systems as a random "crackling or popping noise" in the background, especially during quiet spots in radio transmissions.

COMMUNITIES COVERED INCLUDE...Bexley, Whitehall, Gahanna, Reynoldsburg, New Albany, Westerville, Dublin, Powell, Upper Arlington, Worthington, Grandview. Also includes Franklin County Sheriff East and West dispatch channels,  Fairfield County Sheriff channels 1 and 2, Delaware County digital system, and Union County Sheriff and Fire.

The goal is to provide streaming audio coverage of many agencies that have relatively low radio traffic and may not be covered by other providers. This low traffic density combined with tweaked scan resume delay timers make it possible to easily follow the traffic of multiple agencies. I recommend the use of either the Java Web Player or Winamp which will display the channel tags to further enhance your monitoring experience.
