PLEASE BARE WITH US WHILE WE CONVERT SHP TO DIGITAL. TECHNICAL DETAILS ARE BEING WORKED OUT AS WE SPEAK. 4-25-12

This feed provides VIPER radio traffic from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol in Johnston, Wilson, Wake, and Wayne Counties.  In addition, you can hear SHP Helicopter traffic and mutual aid traffic between Troopers and other Johnston County agencies. You can NOT hear any traffic from the Johnston EDACS system.  The following talkgroups are available on this feed:

592 - Troop C Mutual Aid
2064 - Troop C Dist 2 (Wayne)
2096 - Troop C Dist 3 (Wake)
2160 - Troop C Dist 5 (Wilson)
2192 - Troop C Dist 6 (Johnston)
2288 - Troop C Common 1
2320 - Troop C Common 2
19984 - Statewide Call
28816 - SHP Aircraft
43200 - VIPERJCLAW (Mutual Aid between Johnston Central and State Highway Patrol)

Keep in mind a few things.  This isn't the busiest feed in the world.  A lot of time, it's fairly quiet but chaos can ensue fairly quickly if an incident is happening.  Also remember that you may not hear the trooper all the time.  They still do use low band, and that's not included here.  Also remember during snow storms and other inclement weather, this feed will get real busy.

From time to time, you will hear ALL of SHP during special events. Or you may hear just one talkgroup.  That means something is going on and that traffic is going to be dedicated.
