Feed Notes

This feed is for the South Dakota Digital system, through the three sites In Sioux Falls.  It has most Sioux Falls and Minnehaha County public service talk groups enabled, in addition to weather spotters, civil defense, and statewide interagency.  I have locked out boring stuff like transit, animal control, highway department and city government.  The audio level is set to the maximum where there is no distortion reported.  Lincoln County is represented only to the extent that the traffic is on Sioux Falls frequencies.  My scanner, computer, and network equipment are on battery backup so should ride out power outages up to 15 minutes, if my ISP is up.  I am feeding using ScannerCast so that the channel tags will appear if you listen with Winamp, Itunes, or other players that similarly support it.  Many smartphones  have apps that will allow you to monitor on the go, just like having a handheld scanner with you - and you can listen from anywhere in the world where you have data coverage.  For Android, I suggest the app "Scanner Radio". Lastly, while I appreciate reports of audio problems please confirm first that you are commenting on my feed and not one of the others, and please confirm your audio and the radioreference site are working by trying another feed.  Many complaints I get are really for the other feeds, are caused by radioreference outages that bring all feeds down, or are apparently on the users PC.  Still, I have received tips that my feed is having issues when I didn't realize it, and I do appreciate the input.
