Fire Information

Fire 1: Tones/Voicing only.  Towers are voted based on proximity to the station being toned out, not all tone out's will be clear on this feed.

Fire 2: Repeated/Simulcast.  This frequency is used for day to day fire operations, and is called a response or working channel.

Fire 3: Simplex channel used as a tactical channel for large fire only operations such as structure fires.  This is a simplex frequency and is not repeated.  Depending on the location of the fire, you may not be able to hear the actual units.  Dispatch will repeat all fire traffic on this channel, so you will not be missing any radio traffic.

Fire 4: Simplex channel used as a tactical channel for large fire only operations such as structure fires.  This is a simplex frequency and is not repeated.  Depending on the location of the fire, you may not be able to hear the actual units.  Dispatch will repeat all fire traffic on this channel, so you will not be missing any radio traffic.

Fire 5: Simplex channel used as a tactical channel for large fire only operations such as structure fires.

Tac 7: Repeated/Simulcast.  This is a tactical channel and is used for joint operations when LE and FIRE are working together such as a water rescue, or large scale planned event like a festival.

 Scanner Setup Information

The Setup on this feed is fairly simple.  Scanner is a Uniden BC355C feeding a Windows Server 2003 system using the line out and PC line in.  Antenna Setup is a 30' mast with a RS 20-176 and 50' of RG6/QS coax.

Right now I can effectively get about 20-50 miles, depending on where the signal is coming from, and how much power is behind it, the furthest I I have been able to pick up clearly was 135miles to Seaside, OR on an repeater being used by an amature club.  If there is anything you might want to see in the Kitsap/Mason/Jefferson/?? Area please let me know.
