Feed Notes

This is the  CLARK COUNTY radio system called MARCS, for Multi Agency Radio Communication System, it is a revised vesion  of what the State of Ohio uses and eventually all  State of Ohio agencies will be transitioning over to this newer band. It is in the 774 MHZ portion of the spectrum while Ohio State Patrol use 853. MHZ. The old high band channels are going away with more and more switching to this trunking system. The State Patrol abandoned Low band back a few years ago. The old scanners still inexistence are becoming obsolete with trunking systems and narrow banding required by the FCC.

MARCS radio FIRE....Miami Valley CAREFLIGHT Helicopter and Mobile

Springfield Township and BETHEL TWP FIRE now are  on Ohio MARCS radio. You will not hear Bethel twp on any traditional scanner, all of their traffic is on MARCS. Springfield Twp is still dispatching on old radios, BUT all the equipment fire trucks , squad, chiefs, transmits on MARCS, so you will NOT hear what they have to say, except  on MARCS. Both of these departments are being broadcast on this site.

MARCS RADIO LAW ENFORCEMENT!!

NOW streaming OHIO STATE PATROL , Piqua, Dayton , WAPAK, MARYSVILLE and  Springfield   and the Clark County Sheriff Office Main channels only, TAC channels are encrypted and unmonitorable.OSP , Sheriff and MARCS fire  are on one scanner, so if OSP talks  that's all you hear, if Sheriff that's all you hear, if fire is being dispatched that's all you hear. But you will hear high band fire if there is radio traffic  with the two scanner system I am using.

OSP uses Regional dispatching, meaning the Posts no longer talk only to that County's unit. They may very well be covering a five county area or more and  you will hear Springfield cover Union, Logan, Champaign, Clark and sometimes they will be in or near Franklin County also. Wapak, Piqua, Dayton and Springfield used as dispatchers to cover all traffic in their area. MDT's computers allow troopers to get emails, do traffic stops and have communication without VOICE radio traffic. As well as encrypted radio channels. Air Speed is on an encrypted channel. It is difficult to follow some radio traffic and know who they are talking to or where they may send as the area is so large. It's not like one post covers one county like a sheriff does. OSP uses large maps or computers to show where units are located, close and then send units that way. Just listening to Springfield talk group doesn't ensure Clark is the only County they are talking to. Dayton handles Springfield area traffic.Marysville also handles Springfield, so if Springfield is all you monitor you won't hear whats going on in other posts ares or when those other posts are dispatching.

HIGH BAND REPEATER RADIOS FIRE!!These are the only Public Safety agencies still on high band in Clark County and they are on a repeater. I monitor them as well and feed them here to listen to.I try to supply as much as I can that I enjoy listening to and hope you will as well.

Now streaming east  County to west, Harmony Station 76, Pleasant Catawba Station 75, Madison twp, S Charleston Station 77,Green/ Pitchin 73 ,Rescue 95 / Hustead Station 59, Moorefield Station 74, German Station 78, Pike -North Hampton Station 53,Enon Station 55, Springfield twp  all three Beatty Station 58, East Side Garden Acres  Station 72 and Rockway Station 56, Bethel Station 51 medway and Station 54 Donnelsville and New Carlisle Station 52. Most are dispatched by CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF. City of Springfield, on PROVOICE, an UNMONITORABLE radio system. Clark County does all twp. units except Enon, Hustead.

Adjoining counties FIRE!!

Urbana ,  Mechanicsburg,  North Lewisburg, Saint Paris Fire in Champaign County. If these go to MARCS they will not be covered

Madison County main fire channel is monitored, lots of radio traffic here.

Clark County Sheriff Radio!!

The police departments that are on the system are Catawba, South Vienna, South Charleston, German Township, Enon and North Hampton. They are 400 and 500 unit numbers, the dispatch is known as twelve hundred, unit one is Sheriff, unit 2 is  Chief Deputy and so on down the line. The individual deputies are ID'd by badge number, most a four didgit number which at times sounds like the time given. Since only two departments are covered on MARCS chances are you won't miss call while another department is talking.
