Feed issues
If there is a problem with the feed please email me at scanman so I can communicate back with you. Most of the problems I am receiving are not issues with my side. Please let me know.
Attention Blackberry Users! I get a few complaints about ScannerRadio not working. If this is the case either reload it or use the mobile site - http://m.radioreference.com/
Severe Weather Mode
During severe weather the scan list will be altered to include county and municipal agencies to the west of Jasper and Newton Counties. The purpose is to monitor severe weather reports before the storms enter the area. This will only be temporary until storms have moved out of the area. More people monitor the feed for weather than any other time. These early reports from law enforcement and fire departments can be crucial during severe weather outbreaks.
This feed still holds the record number of listeners on RadioReference.com. Over 9k listeners logged on during the May 22 tornado and the days after. The feed was even broadcast live on radio stations in Oklahoma.
If you don't have a weather radio then buy one! If you have a smartphone download weather apps to help you stay informed of severe weather. Make it a point to read the weather forecast everyday. Living in the midwest is peaceful,,,most of the time.

I routinely blog about severe weather in the area and the scanner radio hobby
This feed is ran on a dedicated computer. The scanner used is a Uniden Bearcat scanner. I have an outdoor Discone antenna mounted at about 20ft. Receiving scanner is located in Carl Junction, Mo.
Agencies currently being scanned.
Jasper County 911 Identifiers. Each agency uses a three digit number for partol and fire Id's. For example "Patrol 511" would be a patrol car in Carterville. Keep in mind that other agencies that do not use JASCO 911 for disptch may use the same patrol Id's.
Jasper County Sheriffs uses the 300 range for patrol and Webb City uses the 400 range for patrol.
