Feed is off a scanner (RS PRO-2067) priority channel is Marlboro 247 used for fire and ems dispatch. This allows members of EMS and fire companies to listen for alerts/updates without havign to buy a radio or while they cannot carry a pager. Also allows new members who do not have pagers to listen so to learn operational details (when to call Headquarters, operations on an MCI, etc) Secondary channel is county EMS1 used for county wide EMS dispatch. A low end computer is used for the feed with XP loaded with a direct connection to local LAN to router. Someday I will put a ups on it, so that with the common power outages, the feed will restart automatically...
