Please note that this radio system is slated for replacement in 2013 and it is showing it's age.
Fire Apparatus in Topeka and Shawnee County are numbered in relation to the station that they are based out of.
- Topeka Fire Department: Stations 1 to 12 (individual radio numbers are in the 100 series, e.g. Car 102)
- Shawnee Heights Fire Department: Station 21, 22, 23 and 25 (200 series radio numbers)
- Rossville Fire District: Station 30 (300 series radio numbers)
- Mission Township Fire Department: Station 40 (400 series radio numbers)
- Auburn Fire District: Station 51 (500 series radio numbers)
- Silver Lake Fire District: Stations 61 and 62 (600 series radio numbers)
- Soldier Township Fire District: Stations 71 and 72 (700 series radio numbers)
- Dover / Valencia Fire District: Station 80, 81 and 82 (800 series radio numbers
EMS untils operated by American Medical Response also use 200 series numbers.
