Eastern Central OK Rail Traffic
The Stillwater Central is a short line using the former SLSF tracks from Tulsa to OKC. The BN acquired the tracks when they took over the Frisco. This line carries several BNSF trains as well as Stillwater Central traffic. If you have any SLSF timetables you can follow traffic on some of the former SLSF subs.
I also receive the BNSF Redrock sub, some Avard Sub, some Creek Sub, and other BNSF sub traffic. I hear the UP dispatcher for the Enid sub, OKC sub and others. I can monitor the AOK shortline from Shawnee and OKC. This shortline runs on former CRIP tracks. In most cases the dispatcher is usually very strong where the train may be with static. I may add or remove channels as I go. If some channels have too much noise from weak signals I can shut them down, or tighten the squelch up, if they are a nuisance. Different times of the morning, and or season, signals may be better or worse due to temperature inversion.

o 161.310 AAR ch80 Stillwater Central RR Dispatcher (Dispatcher located in Wichita, KS) you can hear the trains tone up the nearest line side transmitter to talk to the dispatcher. Sometime the train crew may not get the phone patch disconnected and you hear the busy signal, if I'm near the radio I will lock the the channel out.

The stream receiver is located in Lincoln County Oklahoma, about 30 miles East NE of OKC, OK. This location is approximately ½ mile south of MP505 of the former SLSF (Frisco RR), Oklahoma Subdivision. I am located on a little ridge higher than the average elevation. The receiver is a Yaesu FT-2400 connected to a Tram 6 db gain antenna tuned to 161 MHZ at 70 ft. or a ¼ ground plane, mounted 45 feet above the ground. The receiver is connected to a Barix 100 Instreamer. During severe weather the receiver will be connected to a 1/4 wave attic mounted antenna.
