The Town of Waterford  uses this system for all town communications,Police,Fire, Public Works, Utilities, Rec and Parks,  Building Dept, Administration. I have locked out the none emergency talkgroups. The Town of Waterford recently entered into an aggreement with the City of New London to put them on the system and provide talkgroups for all city agencies to comply with the new FCC Narrowbanding requirements by January 2013.

I am feeding the Alpha Tags for each frequency so that you can see the channel information. You must use an app that supports this technology such as, Win-Amp for your computer or one of the many police scanner apps for your smartphone. I hope that you enjoy this feed for your entertainment purposes only.

Adjustments to the feed will be made as neccessary.

I removed the feed for 33.94 Mhz tone alert. and blocked the Fire/Police talkgroup #209. I did this after listening to the working fire at 520 Boston Post Rd in Waterford on 09/14/2012  The actual incident was being was being covered by conversations on these two channels. I think that this will improve the ability to monitor a working incident.

I have also made several adjustments to the line levels to remove distortion on the digital signal that I think will improve the sound quality.

The New London Police and Fire Departments have begun simulcasting and are now using the trunked radio system. I have removed their analog channels from the feed and added their system id's. The analog radios on the system have a lower (distorted) audio level on the crosspatch.

The New London Police have made the change to the system and have stopped using the UHF frequencies. The Fire Department is still using the UHF frequencies and just simulcasting on the TRS system.

I will updated the feed as the transition proceeds.

I have removed all the conventional frequencies from the feed due to the increased volume of traffic on the Waterford TRS since New London has come online.

New London Fire Department to come online today. Talkgroup 1201 NL Fire Dispatch, 1202 NL Fire Ops, along with others.

I removed the New London Police Department Tac Channels from the scanner for two reasons. One was for privacy. Second was due to the fact that they talk a lot and tie up the scanner espcially when you want to hear the Fire Departments.
