The City of Waterbury is and EF Johnson LTR Multinet with broadcasts primarily the Police,Fire, and some City services (street dept and water dept). The non police and fire services compromise a very low percentage of the radio traffic and are primarily heard during the day. The police and fire traffic are the dispatch radio communications only along with the 3 fire ground channels. All sensitive communications narcotics and vice ops are on their own dedicated channels and would not be included in the feed as to protect such operations. The City has a population of approximately 111,000 with a professional fire department which responds to fire and rescue operations and additionally is the EMS first responder for all 911 medical emergencies. The feed would be provided from a dedicated GRE PSR 600 scanner that is conneced to a exterior roof mounted 800 mhz band professional omnidirectional connected by a low loss LMR 400 cable. It is a very solid feed as I use it to primarily monitor the fire department as part of my duties as a member of the Connecticut Fire Photographers Association. Unfortunately with the LTR Multinet there is no way to break out specific talk groups but I have had many requests to put up a feed and feel there is significant interest in through out the state for such a feed.
