Talkgroups scanned on Dare County P25 800MHZ simulcast system:

NC VIPER system is now locked out and off to improve scanning performance. Dare's P25 interop patching with VIPER eliminates the need to scan the system units participating in mutual aid with Dare County as they will be heard on Dare's PS Interop talkgroups. VIPER may possibly be selectively scanned during large emergencies such as hurricanes or other large events, but will remain off otherwise.

Talkgroups scanned on NC VIPER 800MHz multicast system (Bodie Island/Nags Head site only):  *Switched off as of 4/28/2014*

Please note! Sensitive and otherwise private law enforcement traffic is encrypted and is not heard in this scanner feed! There is also an approximately 30 second delay from actual transmission until you hear it on this feed.

Feed is currently provided by a Uniden BCD996XT fed by a 10dBi Terrawave 800MHz yagi antenna. Dedicated server with battery and generator backup supplies the connection. Cellular internet backup will be utilized when needed and permanently added at a later date.
