The Belmont County Fire and Sheriff's feed is (((broadcast in stereo))). Belmont County Fire Dispatch which includes Fire and EMS dispatch and TAC channels on the right audio channel. The Belmont County Sheriffs Office Dispatch is broadcast with Alpha Tags on the left channel which includes county dispatch and each community's dispatch as well as most TAC channels, jail operations and specials operations channels are excluded. Fire channels (analog) are captured via a RadioShack Pro-107 scanner and Sheriff's Office channels (digital) are captured via a BCD996T Uniden scanner. Both scanners use a tuned antenna on a 40ft mast. The server is an Intel quadcore processor with 4GB of RAM and 4TB of storage and is dedicated to broadcasting via scannercast as well text message paging of Fire and EMS pages Two-Tone Detect software. The ISP is windstream for the DSL service. All attached equipment is backed up by a UPS battery backup which should provide ONE hour of broadcast time without power as long as DSL service is maintained. In times of extreme downtime feed will be broadcast via VZW router and Sprint Sierra Wireless 3G/4G and also has a backup inverter-generator and a standard generator (However on June 29th, 2012 we experienced low voltage which caused the loss of our mobile internet solutions which forced us to wait for Windstream to fix there connections) we are in the process of buying a UPS system to prevent this from occurring again. We reserve the right to down the feed in some situations due to the fact that we do not want to broadcast some incidents because we have friends and family in the Fire, EMS, and LEO services in this county and will not risk their safety and security. If you have any questions or requests for changes with the feed please feel free to send them through RADIOREFERENCE.COM.
Some Belmont County Emergency Services incidents and events may be broadcast with live video via justin.tv the link is justin.tv/bces07
