This feed monitors:
Tri-Com Police Channels 1 (470.937), 3 (470.612), 5 (471.100), 7 (471.275). These channels are the dispatch and tac/special event channels for the Geneva, St. Charles, Batavia, Elburn, and Sugar Grove Police Departments.
Tri-Com Fire Main (158.235). This channel is the main dispatch channel for Geneva FD, St. Charles FD, Batavia FD, andElburn FPD.
Tri-Com Fire South (154.792). This channel is the main dispatch channel for North Aurora FPD and Sugar Grove FPD.
Kane County OEM Main (158.745) & Operations/Backup (156.172) Channels. These channels are used by the Kane County Office of Emergency Management for emergency communications and are very active during server weather and any other incidents where OEM gets called out. OEM does equipment testing and training every Wednesday night, so there is a lot of radio traffic from their training starting as early as about 15:00 CST every Wednesday.
IFERN (154.265) The Interagency Fire Emergency Radio Network is a statewide channel used by fire departments and their communications centers to coordinate mutual aid activities during large-scale fire/rescue incidents.

This feed is being broadcast from a Uniden handheld scanner with a magnet-mount, wide-band antenna for extended range. The scanner is hooked up to a computer running Windows XP. The broadcasting computer is located in central Kane County.
